He showed me what Jazz Fusion was back in 1982, and I remain grateful to him all these years. He made me really 'listen' to the music, not just hear it, and see how it all fit together. Though we lost contact a long time ago, he never knew what a profound influence he had on my life by showing me a whole new world. I have to admit, it was Bob who first had the jones for the Chapman Stick. . . . when he showed it to me. . . . .I was a goner. It was the sexiest sounding think I had ever heard, and amazing to look at, though it was cost prohibitive for both of us at that time.
